Terms of Service
Effective 2026-08-31 · Tadak
These Terms govern your use of Tadak (the "Service"), a keyboard typing-sound application provided by MEK Solution ("we," "us," or "the Company"). By downloading, installing, or purchasing the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Purpose
These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and users in connection with the Tadak application and its companion website (tadak.store, the "Website").
2. Definitions
- Service — the Tadak application (Windows installer and Microsoft Store build) that plays sounds in response to physical keyboard input, plus the Website that presents and sells it
- User — anyone who uses the Service under these Terms
- License key — the unique code issued to unlock paid sound presets
- Payment processor — Polar, which handles billing and license-key issuance on our behalf
3. Effect and amendment of these Terms
These Terms take effect once posted on the Website or within the Service. We may amend them within the limits of applicable law, posting changes at least 7 days before they take effect (or 30 days for changes unfavorable to users). Continuing to use the Service after an amendment is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
4. Provision and modification of the Service
The Service consists of:
- 6 free sound presets, usable immediately with no payment
- Paid sound presets (the remainder of the 30 total presets), unlocked after purchasing a license key
We may change the Service's content (preset lineup, features, etc.) after prior notice. We will not unilaterally remove a paid preset you have already unlocked with a valid license.
5. Formation of the license and key issuance
When you complete a purchase on the Website or through the Microsoft Store, a license key is issued via our payment processor. Entering that key in the app immediately unlocks the corresponding paid preset(s). The license is granted for personal use by an individual user and does not include the right to resell, redistribute, or transfer it commercially.
6. Fees and payment
Paid sound presets are sold as a one-time purchase for perpetual use, at the price shown on the Website (taxes included where applicable). Payment is processed by our payment processor; we do not collect or store your card details directly.
7. Withdrawal and refunds
Because Tadak is digital content, applicable consumer-protection law in our jurisdiction may restrict your right to withdraw once you have activated a license key and begun using the unlocked content.
- Key issued but not yet entered (activated) in the app — full refund
- Key entered and paid correctly, but the Service fails to work as intended (a defect) — full refund
- Simple change of mind after activation — may be restricted under applicable law
To request a refund, email [email protected] with your payment details and we'll follow up.
8. User obligations
Users must not:
- Share, transfer, or resell a license key to another person
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or bypass the Service's license-verification logic
- Extract sound assets bundled with the Service and redistribute them outside the Service
- Use the Service to interfere with another person's computer, or repurpose it for an actual keylogging use
- Engage in any conduct prohibited by applicable law or these Terms
9. Intellectual property
All intellectual property in the Service — software, sound assets, design, and the Tadak trademark — belongs to the Company or its licensors. Users may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works beyond the scope of use granted in these Terms.
10. Disclaimer
The Service is a tool that plays sounds in response to physical keyboard input, provided "AS IS." The Company is not liable for:
- Inability to provide the Service due to force majeure, power outages, or issues with the user's own PC environment (OS, security software, etc.)
- Service disruption caused by the user's own actions
- Damages arising from information or material obtained through the Service, except where caused by the Company's intent or gross negligence
11. Restriction of use
If a user violates Section 8 or obtains a license through fraudulent means, the Company may restrict or revoke license activation after notice (or after the fact, in urgent cases).
12. Dispute resolution and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The Company and users will make good-faith efforts to resolve any dispute arising from use of the Service; unresolved disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent court under Korean civil procedure law.
