Windows 10 / 11 · Lives in your tray
Clack, and the sound settles your mind.
Find the sound that's yours.
Notepad, Excel, a game's chat window — doesn't matter. Every key you press on Windows plays the sound you picked. Not another web ASMR demo that only works inside a browser tab.
Press any key right now — you'll hear it play right here, before you even download.
You'll see two warnings while installing. That's expected.
- 1 Download If your browser says "This file isn't commonly downloaded", click ⋯ next to the file → Keep.
- 2 Run When "Windows protected your PC" pops up, click More info → Run anyway.
- 3 Install Next → Finish. Once the icon shows up in your system tray, you're done.
This happens because the installer doesn't have a code-signing certificate yet, so Windows treats it as an unrecognized publisher. That doesn't mean the file is broken or unsafe. Both warnings will disappear once the certificate is added.
Keeps playing no matter which window you're in
Detection happens at the OS level. Close your browser, switch to Word or your IDE — the sound follows right along.
Not an audio file on loop
Most sounds are synthesized live, on the spot. Each one shifts slightly, so it never falls into a robotic, repeating loop.
Turn it on and forget about it
Sits quietly in your system tray. Launches automatically with Windows, and mutes instantly with Ctrl+Alt+K.
29 sounds
Pick one, hear it right above
Click a card and the keyboard up top switches to that sound. Then type anything to try it out.
A program that reads your keystrokes — it's fair to be a little suspicious. So here's exactly where we draw the line.
- What we handle — The signal that a key was pressed, plus enough to tell a space or enter key apart from a regular letter. Used only to pick the right sound.
- What we discard — The exact character you typed is gone the instant the sound plays. Never written to a file, never kept in memory.
- What we never send — The app makes zero network calls related to your typing. It works exactly the same completely offline.
- How to check for yourself — Block this app's network access in your firewall. The sound plays exactly as before.
One more thing
Clicky keyboards aren't a niche hobby anymore
Even NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang couldn't hide it — when he was gifted a mechanical keycap on a Korean talk show, he lit up like a kid. If it wins over someone who runs a chunk of Silicon Valley, it's not just a quirky habit.
※ This simply references a broadcast clip — the show or person mentioned has no affiliation with, and does not endorse, Tadak.

FAQ
Things that trip people up before install
I get a warning when I download or run it
Both warnings are expected. Same root cause — this file doesn't have a code-signing certificate yet, so your browser and Windows both treat it as an unrecognized program. That doesn't mean the file is corrupted or malicious.
1) Browser — If it says "This isn't commonly downloaded," click ⋯ next to the file → Keep (Edge: Keep anyway).
2) Windows — If "Windows protected your PC" appears, click More info → Run anyway.
Both warnings will disappear once the certificate is added — we'll apply it as soon as it's ready.
On a work PC where installers are blocked, there's also a zip version (114MB). Unzip it and you'll get a Tadak-1.0.1 folder — run Tadak.exe inside it. Just make sure you unzip it first — running it directly from inside the zip window will throw an error.
My antivirus is flagging this app
Detecting keystrokes is technically the same thing a keylogger does, so some antivirus tools flag it based on behavior alone. What we do and don't collect is explained above.
If it keeps getting blocked, add the install folder to your antivirus's exception list. We're reporting the false positive to vendors as well.
Does it work on Mac or Linux?
Right now, only Windows 10/11 (64-bit) is supported. A Mac version needs its own accessibility-permission approval flow, so it's planned once the Windows version is settled.
What happens if I switch PCs after buying?
Enter the same license key on the new PC and it unlocks right away. We don't count activations server-side, so switching PCs or reinstalling doesn't require re-verification — just reuse the same key.
That said, the price assumes personal use — please don't share one key across multiple people.
Can I get a refund?
Because this is digital content, refund rights are limited once a license key has been issued and used (Korean E-Commerce Act, Article 17(2)(5)). We recommend trying the 6 free sounds before buying.
If you haven't entered the key yet, or the app doesn't work properly, you'll get a full refund.
Does it work in full-screen games?
Yes. Keystrokes are still detected in full-screen games. If you only want it off sometimes, mute it with Ctrl+Alt+K or turn it off from the tray icon.
